Kokosbollar Recipe – Swedish Chocolate Balls




These delicious Swedish treats are very easy to make and will be ready in no time!

With coconut shreds they are called kokosbollar, but with pearl sugar they are called chokladbollar. The singular form is kokosboll.

Ingredients:
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 cup oat groats
  • 1 cup grated coconut
  • 2 tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla sugar
  • 2 tbsp. non-salted butter (softened)
  • 2 tbsp. water
  • 1 egg

Instructions:


1.       Mix the sugar, ¾ of the grated coconut, the cocoa, vanilla sugar and butter in a big bowl until you get a homogenous mixture.

2.       Add the egg and mix until firm.

3.       Let it cool in the fridge for about 10 mins for it to harden a little.

4.       Roll the mixture and cut it in little pieces of equal size.

5.       Roll each piece into a ball.

6.       Roll the balls in the rest of the grated coconut.

Keep the kokosbollar in the fridge. They will be ready to eat once they harden.
